Toni Medina Mishler

Toni Medina Mishler, 42, of Waterloo, died Sunday, October 11, at home.

She was born October 17, 1977 in Independence, daughter of Antonio and Susan Worth Medina.  She married James E. Mishler, November 13, 2002 in Waterloo.  Toni attended West High School, and went on to obtain a Master of Gardening degree.  She was employed as a foreman/crew leader for Agri Star quality assurance division for 12 years, then at Tyson as a union steward for four years, and most recently at John Deere in sanitation.

Survivors include:  her mother Susan, Worth of Oelwein; her husband, James of Waterloo; one son, Tyrone A. Kunkel-Billig of Rochester, Minn.; two daughters, Santana R. McDermott of Waterloo and Toni E. Kunkel-Billig of Rochester, Minn.; five grandchildren; six sisters, Rebecca Worth of Denver, Rhonda Worth of Oelwein, Zulema Medina of Manchester, Maria Leedom of Ariz., Racheal Worth of Postville, and Terease Walsh of Cedar Rapids; four brothers, James Worth of Oelwein, Charles, Rodolfo, John Medina all of Waterloo, and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded By:  her father, Antonio, and a brother, Billy Worth.

A Christian Service will be held at 3:00 pm Friday, October 16 at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, 965 Home Plaza, Waterloo, there will be an hour of visitation from 2:00 to 3:00 pm.

An inurnment will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be directed at the family.

There is a limit of 75 people at one time at the funeral home, including family, due to social distancing, family presence will be a priority. Anyone attending the visitation and/or the service are required to wear a mask.

“Toni had many interests, knitting, crocheting, coloring, poetry.  She enjoyed do-it-yourself projects, fishing and playing with her many nieces and nephews.  She will be greatly missed.”
