Peggy Sue Henson

Peggy Sue Henson was born on September 6, 1964 in Waterloo to her parents James and Beatrice Henson. She was raised in Waterloo and attended school in the area. When Peggy was just 16 years old, she met her soulmate and life partner Richard Timm. The couple welcomed two beloved daughters: Melissa and Tiffany, into their lives and Peggy ensured that she was at every event and always there for support. Peggy worked for 29 years at Wal-Mart as an office associate. Her favorite pastime was being with her family, especially her grandchildren; ensuring that each child had their own personal time with grandma. Peggy also enjoyed camping in NE Iowa with Richard, shopping with both of her daughters, finding projects to craft, and decorating her home. She was a fantastic cook and baker, making everything from scratch, and creating various holiday traditions that she could pass down.  Peggy will be remembered for her kindness and compassion, placing everyone’s needs before her own.

Peggy Sue Henson died unexpectedly on Thursday, December 27, 2018, at the age of 54, in her beloved home. She is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers:Eugene “Jim”, Jimmy Wayne, and Jeff Henson; and two sisters: Shirley and Barbara Henson. Peggy is survived by her soulmate: Richard Timm of Waterloo; her two daughters: Melissa (Rob) Huffman of Waterloo and Tiffany Timm of Waterloo; three sisters: Ruby Avis of Mississippi, Darlene Cedillo of Fort Worth, Texas, and Bronda Johnson of Boone; three brothers: Danny Henson of Boone, Craig Henson of Evansdale, and Bill Henson of Waterloo. Also left to cherish Peggy’s memory are her six grandchildren: Landon, Brendon, Nolan, Luke, Max, and Cooper.
